Finished the BSD Novel with Ayatsuji and I want to know how much the PM spends on lemons now and where they actually buy them.

How big is Kajii's lemon budget??? Does he have a trusted lemon supplier? Is the PM harvesting them themselves? Did Mori accidentally blow himself up once while baking a lemon cake for Elise?

Last year I made a post headcanoning that Chuuya was the one to bring Kajii into the mafia after the Laughing Lemon incident and now I am back with evidence.

It's tradition in the Port Mafia to give a new recruit an article of your own clothing when inviting them into the mafia. Famous example being Mori gives Dazai his coat, and Dazai gives Akutagawa his coat in turn.

So with that in mind, if Chuuya brought Kajii in, he would have given him something as well. Only Kajii 5'11" and Chuuya is 5'2", so Chuuya's clothes wouldn't exactly fit Kajii.

But do you know what they both wear?

That's right! Stupid fashion belts that serve no actual purpose!

What if the number of ability users in bsd is actually much higher than people think it is because like there's literally a dude who's ability is being immune to lemon shaped bombs. His job at the port mafia is making lemon shaped bombs so he can blow shit up and not be affected by it. But like he could've only figured out that's his ability after making a lemon shaped bomb and then getting way too close to the explosion he wanted to cause or knowing some maniac who tried to blow him up with a lemon shaped bomb for some reason. Like maybe abilities are alot less rare than we think they are, like there could very well be a few hundred million people out there with oddly specific abilities or abilities with such insane requirements and the ability users we see are just the ones who've been traumatised enough to end up in a situation where they need to use their abilities.

Maybe there's a guy out there with the ability to see a hundred years into the future whenever he eats wood but he's not chowing down on his fucking furniture so he'll just never know. Like maybe there's a little girl out there who's ability is being able to survive being burnt alive or some shit but she's not gonna fucking figure that out because she lives in a happy household without any pyromaniacs and will live an untraumatised life so she'll just never know.

Hell, it doesn't even need to be an oddly specific ability. Fukuzawa didn't know he had an ability until he made the ada and his isn't oddly specific so like maybe there's some boring ass salaryman who's ability is to be able to be unharmed anytime a human attacks him weapon or not and he's just such a nice and/or forgettable dude that he's just never been in a fight before so he'll never know.

"Abilities manifest from trauma" and "ability users always have something wrong with or weird about them" both statistical errors, most people have abilities but aren't traumatised and/or weird enough to find it out.

Where the fuck is that comic about a survey checking how many people answer surveys regularly and most people answered they regularly checked surveys bcz the people who don't answer surveys didn't answer the fucking survey.

Kajii must spend so many hours of his day just making sure he has enough lemon bombs.

Because his ability means he can’t take damage from lemon shaped explosives.

As far I’m aware his ability he can’t just materialise them when he needs to like Kunikida.

Probably has to be painstakingly certain that they resemble the shape of actual lemons.

Because what if he makes a mistake abd the shapes wrong and then detonates them and his ability doesn’t activate.

That has to be stressful as hell.
